And So the Adventures Begin

Dear Simone,

Lilly moved out from my parents, and a lot of things have been coming up. She said that she ran away from mom and dad so much that now it doesn’t feel like home. Which I can relate to. My problem was more like I never felt like I belonged anywhere. Sometimes, I still feel bad for taking up space in my own apt.

Jeh Nay said that my dad will see her looking in the fridge and ask her what she wants, and if she doesn’t know, he’ll say, “Then you are not hungry then.” Which I think is completely unfair.

I remember growing up, and there weren’t complete things to make food. Ingredients. Peanut butter, no jelly. Tortillas, no meat. Beans or rice, no salsa or anything to accompany it. Lilly and I had to figure it out because mom used to cook for T.V. and dad. If I asked her for a sandwich, she would complain, so I would do it myself. If T.V. would ask, mom would ask her questions like what she wants on it, let her know if there were different cheeses or how she wants it cut, etc.

I hate my mom.
